HoneyFund

I can't believe we're already in November!! Michael and I have now officially been engaged for THREE MONTHS! I have since created our very special, and very unique, gift registry. I know it may seem a little early in the grand scheme of things, but just wanted to get the word out there early about our semi unconventional "HoneyFund". What is a HoneyFund?? Well, since Michael and I have been blessed with a beautiful home (mostly) full of everything we need, and the idea of lugging gifts back to Florida from our California wedding sounds a bit unappealing, we decided to do something different than the conventional go-to-the-store-and-pick-something-off-the-list registry, instead creating a honeymoon registry, aka the HoneyFund. Through this awesomely inventive website, we were able to create a registry page to share our honeymoon dream travel plans of going on a cruise through the Mediterranean, visiting the beautifully historic countries of Italy (gotta get in touch with my Italian roots!), Greece, and Turkey.

Michael and I were able to break down certain costs of our dream honeymoon, including such necessities as airfare and cruise tickets, as well as optional gift items, such as a walking tour of Greece or a cafe lunch in Turkey. The website breaks the costs down into affordable increments, where friends and family can then visit our page and purchase gifts by sending us cash/checks in the mail, or using their credit card to give a gift toward part or all of our trip ;) You can check out more info at our HoneyFund Homepage, as well as our Registry page under our tabs to the left. Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks about this creative gift idea :) I know Michael's grandmother in Baton Rouge already thinks its genius, as she was our first gift giver, helping to gift us a portion of our flight to our first port in Italy! Thanks Grammy!

Sharing some additional good news, Michael has officially asked his cousin, Justin Marroy, to be his groomsman at our wedding, bringing us to an almost complete wedding party.

Check out the full story on Justin on our Meet The Wedding Party page under the tabs to the left. Still waiting on that last mystery man to fill the last groomsman spot however, and who will Michael choose??? Hopefully he makes up his mind soon!! Maybe his trip home this weekend with a good game of football between AL and LSU will bring him to his decision?! LOL.
